One of 2012's biggest hype bands were Washington's Milk Music whose 'Beyond Living' EP got fans of the supposed grunge revival a little hot under the collar and probably foaming at the mouth as well. Things haven't been totally quiet since then; back in January they released a free download of new track 'I've Got A Wild Feeling' which cemented their status as leading lights of the scene. In the following months the band have been prepping their debut album 'Cruise Your Illusion' for a release at the start of April. Whether it's good or bad we can expect plenty of coverage as the press try to dissect whether the so-far-acclaimed band are the real deal or a pale imitation.
We don't encourage gambling (and I doubt you'd find a bookie to take up your offer anyway) but we're predicting great praise and potential appearances in end of year lists for this lot. Following the ace 'I've Got A Wild Feeling' is new single 'Cruising With God' in which the band have not only come up with the goods song-wise, but have also recorded and produced it to perfection. Yes it's grungy but it also contains elements of classic rock (is it just us getting a hint of Thin Lizzie?) and they've now proved over the course of several tracks that they have what it takes to impress. This time next year we'll all be a lot more familiar with Milk Music.
