Is it bad grammar or are they talking about multiple feelings in an unusual way? We'll give them the benefit of the doubt, especially as we're fine ones to talk when it comes to typos and so on. A nation with a long history of producing fine garage and punk bands dating back about as far as anywhere in the world, Australia have another decent group in Disco Is Dead, a band from Sydney who've been perfecting their trade since 2010, but only began releasing music this year (as far as we can tell anyway). Following what was therefore possibly their debut single, 'Vents', the trio of old school friends follow it up with 'The Feelings Gone'.
Their particular take on the whole punk/garage style is one that's slightly less serious than some of their contemporaries. They want to make good music, but they want to have fun as well. It's no goofball song by any means, but it's not exactly The xx remixing Atoms For Peace either. You all know the score: lots of guitars, a driving beat, bundles of energy, a nice melody and some bass to glue the separate parts together. It's not rocket science, but writing a likeable tune isn't child's play either. Disco is Dead are sure to pick up fans with music as catchy as this. We look forward to the next blast of scorching fun.
